praying...

a real post from henry will come soon....but here's a quick snippet of what he's been up to. we're working on teaching him the Lord's prayer these days. and it's really cute as we talk through what it means and also listen to him repeat it back as we pray. tonight's snippet was the best....

if you didn't catch that, it's supposed to be the line...on earth as it is in heaven. love that kid. it was already late and we had already explained a lot. tomorrow we'll have to talk about this kevin guy....

jim class

(this is cheating, but here's a log of henry's great thoughts lately. we'll start with tonight's conversation.)

h. do you know what's a weird name?
c. what?
h. jim class.
c. jim class?
h. all these people walking around because of jim class.
c. what's jim class?
h. he's a person. that is a teacher at the school.

(okay...let me explain so that this makes a bit more sense. today, h & i noticed all of these highschoolers walking up the steep hill we live on. i guess my explanation of "gym class" to him was poorly lacking. okay, back to writing what henry wants on this blog...)

you can do a world-wide flood. goatee. and dad has a goatee. and i also have...merian doesn't have a goatee, and so...what that does? bodyworks. and the bookworks. troll. kara and jon have a troll. it doesn't make no sense...but you can write it down.

we went on a walk. write that down. i'm thinking....

hi blog. stop. cool. hello, yeah, i'm good. (another explanation given to henry about the purpose and nature of a blog...) here i am taking a photo shoot. um, hi. i'm hungry. henry created his own photo studio the other day...took great pains to create the perfect backdrop & put merian in the middle.

merian. i was taking pictures. i creative (created) it with lots of merian's things.
i don't know. cuckoos. cuckoo for cocoa pops. he's running out of things to say.
i took a picture of your bag. i'm hungry. hop. we are leaving for a sec to feed that hungry belly...be back soon.

i take a picture of the dresser. and the dresser, too.i ask henry, "what have you been doing these days?" taking pictures and stuff. where's my other raisin? shoveling of raisins continues...what is that? that you wrote down? cool. cocoa pops. it's puffs, sweetie. cocoa puffs. bye. and my mom's doing good. and merian had a cold a little bit. how's shane & ellen doing? can you get some more raisins, please?
